Area Service Centers And District Offices.

Hi. I read in Sheela Murthy's bulletin that she was receiving 485 approvals from service centers and from local offices too.
DOES ANYONE KNOW IF 485'S ARE APPROVED IN ATLANTA, NEW ORLEANS ETC APART FROM THE MAIN TEXAS OFFICE. THIS WILL MEAN WE MAY ALL BENEFIT, FROM THE " LOAD SHARING ".
 
I believe approvals from local offices occur when it has been transferred from TSC (for interview). I don't think its a case of local offices helping TSC with the burden.
 
As was posted in the other forums...

It would seem thatINS has been trying to clear up refugee/asylum cases. Funding for these cases has come from a surcharge on regular cases. With the new DHS legislation that funding no longer exists, so there is currently no funding for those cases. INS will be back to working other cases next week.

Hope you are correct.

I sure hope your info is correct. Seems like only the toughest get through this ordeal without batting an eyelid. Am still waiting on my FP after a seemingly nice IIO took down my info on the 10th of this month.
