I had a substitute labor from my employer and applied for I140 on December 2nd, 2004. So far I140 is not approved yet even though the processing times show Jan 07, 2005.
The PD on I140 is 02/2001. When i asked my employer for applying both I140/485, he applied for only 140 and told me that he would apply for 485 once 140 is approved. The reason he mentioned for that was if 140 has a query it would be difficult because he has to send the information for both 140/485. Is that true?
Are there any real advantages in applying 485 after 140 is approved (I had substitue labor in my case)?
