Ar-11

Hi
I would like to file AR-11 for change of address from nashua to detroit. I understand that I have to send it particular address but not in VSC. Why, I need to call IIO at VSC as my AR-11 is in some other location, like Kentucky. I am afraid if I call IIO at VSC, then they may transfer my file to NSC and it may be further delayed.
Any suggession from experts?
Your valued advice will be very much appreciated.
:)

Hey Mr,
just send in your AR11 and do not call any body. Fill up the mail forwarding request with the Nashua USPS. they will foward all the mail to your new address for a year.

Get other people's advice also. If i were you, i would do this.

Hawk74,

USPS will not forward all the mails. They will forward only the mails which contains "address service or forward service requested". Usually USPS will not forward any letters from INS. You need to call INS to give the new address. This is the safest way otherwise you will miss your letter from INS.

Hawk74,

It's better to call BCIS and check if the system has been updated with the new address. I submitted AR-11 in January and the system was not updated when i spoke to IIO in March 2003.

Rangav,

USPS will forward all the mails for a year, if a change of address form has been filled and submitted to the post office. All the forwarded mails will have a yellow sticky with the new address. Please do not post incorrect information.

I have the same concern..do not know what to do..

hi futuregc

Currently I have the same problem and I am refraining from sending AR -11 to change my old address under VSC jurisdiction to my new location which is under NSC jurisdiction.

Concerned but waiting...to see how the progress goes in the next couple of months..

Let me know what you decide..or you can send me your E-mail address...

Ar-ll to kentucky and service center

My lawyer recommended that I send it to kentucky and to the service center. They then also called the service center to make sure that the address was changed on their files.
The down part of not doing that is the service center wouldnt know that you have gone elsewhere>-schedule a local interview>-find that you are not in their jurisdiction>-then what (take files back and further delay)????
anyway, since one is notifying to Kentucky of change of add..best to do it with service center also....
My view of course :)
