The address when I filed for H1 is my uncle's permenant address. Thats where all my GC correspondence goes.

I live in Chicago. Under these circumstances do I need to file for change of address.

Please avoid duplicating messages.

As far as AR-11 form you need to fill out and mail to USCIS only if the address you have provided for your GC pending / h-1B approval process has changed.

It appears that you have given your uncles address for correspondence. The situation where you will need to mail an AR-11 is only if your uncle has changed residence or if you want to have your GC correspondence come to another address other than your uncle's address
