AR-11 for wife's move

Hello,
I am the 485 filer with the RD of Jan, 2003. My wife started working using her EAD and she moved to Detroit( I am NOT using my EAD and working in Ohio using my H1B) . I am in Ohio and right now we have Ohio address as our primary address. Since she is working in Detroit do I need to send AR-11 for her? I hope I do not have to send it, since I am living at our Ohio address. Please advise me.

As far as I know, AR-11 is required when you change your permanent address. If the address she resides at is not permanent, I would GUESS you do not need one. In any case, consult with your attorney, if you have one. He / She will be able to provide much more information.
 
AR-11 is required when aliens change their addresses. But AR-11 does not change the address in pending cases(say I-140, I-485 and etc..) with USCIS.
we have to call USCIS and notify them about the address change, if we have any cases pending.
 
Your wife should file AR-11, as required by law. This will not change the address on her pending application, for that one has to call the NCS number and updated adddress on pending application. Since only your wife moved, you do not need to do this. All notices,approvals etc. will keep coming at your address. The only thing is she will get FP notice for a center near you, and will have to come down for FP.

Di you file AR-11 for your wife?. I am in similar situation and my wife moved to NY. If you have filed can you pl tell me what you wrote for the foll :
1) Status - What did you mention in the others column? (H4/EAD etc).
2) Alien CArd Number - is this appicable to us?.If so, what needs to be entered?
3) Date of entry into US - First time entry or the latest entry?
4) Stay in US Expires - H4 expiry or I-94 Expiry date or EAD/AP Expiry date?

I have not filed AR-11. Since it is not a permanent move and I have a permanent address in Ohio I have decided to not to send AR-11. I do not know the real impacts. I have talked to some people, they said I should probable OK since it is a mobile home address. Let me know if you get any better info. Sorry for posting late..

I need to use AR-11 next month and above points are valid ones in completing the form. Can any one share their experiences and knowlege of AR-11. Thanks.

I did the same thing - did not send AR-11. As per my attorney, we dont need to send it as long as it is not a permanent address.(god only knows how a permanent address is construed).
Thanks anyway!. at least i have someone in similar situation to look at.
 
Lets hope that it is OK and we will be fine. I have talked to one of my friend who is in the same situation and he did the same thing. Probably we are OK.
