Congratulations!!! Must feel great!

I am not encouraged though. My lawyer thinks I'm going to be waiting for a while on this Name check :( As of yesterday, it was still pending (that's what they told the lawyer), so I'm not expecting anything soon. Congrats though! Go out and celebrate.
 
You (or your lawyers or for that matter anyone) never know the real deal, about the name check thing...I have seen other cases as well in this forum, when they got approvals but the name check was supposedly pending. I think lawyers just dish out standard official message when they get a "name check pending" response.

You should try and get a fax formal inquiry initiated, that might help. Good luck!
 
she did a formal fax inquiry, and called them on the phone after that, and was told that "even if 140 is approved, the 485 won't be approved because i'm not done with the 'security clearence'" (that's what they called it). I have yet to see ANYTHING in writing from USCIS about this -- always got verbal status, and theyve never officially responded to any inquries. When I called the emergency # last week or the week before, I was also told that the name check is pending. Haven't heard back from FBI (sent email on 01/10/05 and snail mail)..
