time for guessing game, boy oh boy did february go by so fast. it seems likeonly yesterday we were guessing for march.

lot of dumb things r fun....
i say... dec 2003 - eb3.... yeaiiiieeeee....:D
i know i am talking of something impossible... but it doesnt hurt does it...

Based on the last three bulletins one can say that DOS has chosen reserved strategy. They prefer rather not to give 100K visas to make them unused than to issue 5K extra by accident.

I believe there will be no movement until last quarter in all EB categories.
In August or in September they will move EB3 ROW forward 6 months may be one year, they also can move India couple of weeks forward in September.

But no movement for the next month.

I do not expect any moment for India. Enough of waiting for me.. waiting for 3 weeks moment for last 8 months..:(. I would hibernate for now and wake up around Sept 15th..:)

There should be atleast some movement

Guys/Gals,

My assumption is, there might be slight movement in EB2 and EB3 category priority dates, because couple of months back USCIS was following the same strategy that first 2 month in that quarter they wont release any visa number but the
3rd month will have some movement.....

Let's wait and see if they break this rule also for April Visa bulletin and bring a new formula and make everybody scratch their head......

Good luck to everybody..

sfmars,

I tend to agree with your assessment. In all likelihood there will be little or no movement for India EB3 in the next few bulletins. EB3 ROW should start moving again in the 3rd and 4th qtr of this fiscal year. India EB3 "may" see slight movement again next fiscal year.

I know people are against CIR but at this point in time it is the lesser of two evils.

cheers,

Visa update from USABAL

Visa Backlog Update

March 1, 2007 - The Department of State (DOS) has advised that it anticipates increased demand for immigrant visas in the employment-based second (EB2) and third (EB3) categories over the next few months based on its own data as well as numbers provided by DOL (Department of Labor) and USCIS (US Citizenship and Immigration Services). DOS also forecasts that:

It is unlikely there will be forward movement of priority date cutoffs in backlogged categories until at least April 2007. If the anticipated increased demand materializes, there could be further retrogression in priority date cutoffs. Alternatively, if the anticipated demand does not materialize, there could be forward movement in the spring and summer.

The "Worldwide" category for EB-1 and EB-2 are expected to stay current for the rest of the fiscal year (through September 30).

The EB-2 China and EB-2 India categories are not likely to move forward until May; however we may see some forward movement in the spring or summer.

The EB-3 China and EB-3 Mexico categories may become unavailable this summer (as early as May or June), and EB3 India may retrogress at that time.

All,

Until the BECs complete their backlogs and shut their doors there is no point in looking for any sort of movement. The update above is indeed very gloomy and should pretty much convince everyone that only a law change can save us.

The ending is like....he may either go south or north or stay in the place...he is predicting all three possibilities....DUDE, WHAT POSSIBILITY is still left?? That's no prediction...that's obvious...

The dates may stay..or may go forward or may go back...HEE HEE! We all know that!

well said banta4gc !!

Guess they want to put in some b.s just for the heck of it ......

wht jerks huh? y cant they learn to improve their system like canada. i heard it takes about a year for canada.

It is not as a straighfoward as you would like

For me it took 5 months to get the permanent residency in Canada. The problem is that it took 1 month to realize I should GET OUT of Canada once I landed there :)

It is all about supply and demand. I am sure that if Canada was very desirable and superpower of the world, unlikely that its immigration process would be so accessible.

ya......but nobody wants to stay there once they get the PR...

Demand and Supply...........too much demand for USA right now.......everyone wants to be here.......and US system does not care about immigrants anymore.....

Canada and other countries that use a points system can do their immigration process fast regardless of whether the demand is high or low. If the demand is high, they can just raise the points cutoff. That spares them from wasting time on the low-points applicants, and many people will self-eliminate by not bothering to apply when the points needed are too high. When demand is low, drop the points required.

The points system enables them to give fast approvals and fast rejections whether demand is high or low.

Nkelkar,
This is pretty normal - part of the bi-specialization where NSC & TSC work on Immigrant visas and CSC & VSC work on Non-Immigrant Visas.
