April 04 processing statistics released - Things are looking better!

Highlights: (Since Sept 01)

1. I-485 processed is 101474 which is double the average of 50703.

2. Net decrease is highest so far within the period computed.

3. Overall pending has been decreasing for the 5th straight month.

What we can look forward to in "May" report and months ahead:

1. The receipt of new applications will decline sharply as people would have rushed to beat the April 30th fee increase deadline.

2. May approval cases from Rupnet and forum posts in other centers like CSC and TSC have been among the highest in recent memory.

3. I expect pending applications to come close to or dip below the million mark.

Attached is the spreadsheet that I have extended from an earlier posting.

Great job my friend!....where did you get the Excel table about monthly 485 processing statistics? Can you please share with us so that we can track this thing

Suppose CIS keep processing 100K cases per month, then my application should be processed within 1 year (1100K / 100K = 11 monthes). :)

Not bad at all. I am dreaming now.

Thanks guys

ted8h6,

As I mentioned in my post I took an earlier file that was posted and added March and April data. If you want to continue tracking - look for the processing statistics every month and add it to the end.

qdotlu,

You are forgetting that ~50K apps are added each month. I think we will see for atleast the next 6 months some erratic adjudications and than things should get more streamlined.

Rsur,

I've already sent out the application to CIS. If the applications (or most of the applications) are processed FIFO, I don't have to care about cases filed later than me, right? :)

Good point

qdotlu,

FIFO..ah now that is a new word for USCIS. Even if we consider about 25% of that is out of turn processing than your wait time should be no longer than 14-15 months.
