My I-485 got approved yesterday(June 19th). I was going through my daily ritual of checking the online status today and I couldn't believe what I was seeing...Approved on June 19th.
So folks, keep your spirits up. Things seem to be moving at TSC.

FYI..I had an RFE regarding my medical examination and I sent my medical report again this month. The INS received my response on June 16th and in just 3 days time, they have approved my case. Also, my wife's 485 has also been approved.
Her notice date was in Feb 2002.
My notice date was August 2001.
FP- Mar 27 2003.

Congratulations VeeraRa! Enjoy your "enhanced" freedom. This is truly a silver-lining, with the sudden reversal of fortunes for one folk who has got his I-485 rejected. Hopefully Providence will grant him a miracle and pep-up the spirits of others in this forum. In that backdrop,your good news is certainly uplifting.

Can you also provide the following details?

  1. Were you or your wife, the primary petitioner?
  2. When did you and your wife have your finger-prints done?
  3. Did your wife also receive a RFE?
  4. Did both of you do FP together and get approval together on the same date (June 19th?)
  5. EB1/EB2/EB3?
  6. Did you call the Customer-Service line frequently?

Are you by chance the friend of Advait abt whom he is refering to on the other board?
He too has written abt a Aug 01 case getting approved for adjustment.

Answers to Poongunranaar's Qs:


1. I was the Primary Petitioner.

2. My FP date: Mar 27, 2003,
Wife's FP date: Apr 16, 2002

3. No, my wife did not receive an RFE.

4. We did not do the FP on the same date.
Her notice date is sometime in Feb 2002. Yes, both of us
were approved on the same date. Until Yesterday, her status
was showing as " Your fp was received on Apr 16, 2002. We
have resumed........". It was pleasant surprise to see that her
case was also approved.

5. I used to call the IIOs once a month last year. But this year, I haven't called anyone since March.

As you know all of us are frustrated with TSC obscureness. Please share with us your data: FP date, what RFE was about...
did you make a lot of effort to contact TSC ...

Tin,
I have already posted my FP date and other details in this thread.
The RFE was regarding my medical exam. The doctor had forgot
to check the boxes saying I was tested for HIV and Syphillis.
I just had to send the correctly filled medical form.

Best of luck to all those who are waiting for their approval.
