My case got approved yesterday but my husband's case was transferred to CINCINNATI. Any idea what happened?

Thanks.

RD : 11/15/01
ND : 11/29/01

We got married a few months before the RD from NSC. I wonder why my husband's case got transferred to the Local INS office. You guys have any idea?

BCIS does have the habit of transfering cases (though not 100% of the cases - I think it depends on the experience of the adjudicating officer) to a local office if folks got married just before filing. This should not cause a problem other than the irritaitng delay of 3 - 6 months.

Good luck!

derivative approved before principal

BCIS does things unpredicatably. All my family members (two sons, wife, and self) filed I485 together (EB1) with Nebraska, and my older son was approved (10/02) while the other 3 applications were transferred to local office for interview.
In the interview, I pointed this (derivative approved earlier than the principal) out to the interviewer, but the interviewer said there was nothing she can do. After I was approved(1/03), I called Nebraska to have them correct the mistake, the officer answering my call checked my approval status and told me there was no need to make any changes as long as I was approved. Weird things happen all the time, but not as often as from BCIS. All I can say is that this is a very scewy system. Be happby when you are approved, be patient while you are wating to be approved. Tracking down every unexplainable move of BCIS may not be worth. :)
