When I checked my status online just a few minutes ago, I read the sweetest message on earth.

Application Type: I485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status

Current Status:

This case has been approved. On April 14, 2003, an approval notice was mailed. If 14 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please speak to an Immigration Information Officer during business hours.


My wife filed for her I-485 sometime in July'2002 and so probably will have to wait for the end of this year for her approval. Hopefully not.

I wish to thank this website for all the useful information.
