Hi,

My 485 was approved on the 8th. Received the notice yesterday. Went in for the passport stamp this morn at LA. The whole stamping process took only 1/2 hr...I reached the INS office in downtown LA at 10.30 am & was out by 11.15am...

There was a RFE req for my husbands case....They want a notrized copy of our marriage cert to be sent again :(...Hope that comes thru quickly as well...

Now a question for you. You went to the downtown L.A. office? I am a little surprised that you could get into the INS office at 10:00 AM and got your passport stamped. If so, this may suggest that the downtown L.A. office is not as a bad choice. Anyway, this is great for you. Congrats.

Actually my lawyer told me to go to a particular room...rm-2050...So I totally skipped the main line...In fact there was no queue in this room which is why I could get out in 1/2 hr.

Does anyone know if there is any such "special" room to go to
at the San Jose INS. I would like to skip that line too (that
is whenever I get my approval).
