Happy to report that my 485 was approved as per lawyer\'s email. Still waiting for approval notice.
Detail:
PD: 12/99, EB2, China.
ND: 3/22/01
FP: 10/5/01 (as scheduled, got in Sep.)
AD: 11/2/01

My handle is also Orient on Ciba\'s list.

I did FP at the same day with ND 06/21. Does that mean I can hope to get the approval at any time to

I think we need to wait a bit longer.

Even though the FBI reports sending the FP
to INS very soon after we do them, the IIO
officer\'s often state it took months to get the
FP back from the FBI. The IIO is probably
getting confused, but there seems to be
an additional step in there.

I hope I am wrong and we both get our
approvals ASAP (My last day at work is
middle of November, after which I have
to risk using 180 day rule). My ND is 06/28
and I did my FP on 10/09.

Congrats Orient!! Henrysh, FP date alone is not enough. ND, and then lot of luck is required.

Nobody with ND beyond April 30 has been approved - so we can\'t expect approval till INS starts approving NDs from May 1 onwards.
 
Bhagwan, you\'re right.

The procedure will be:
1. All cases pending FP will be put in a waiting area.
2. INS periodically move those that got FP clearance to the adjudication area.
3. All cases still are sorted by ND there.

So, can I say my case with FP done at the same day with this guy\'s may have been moved to the adjudication area waiting for approval. In this area the order is still per ND. They won\'t go ahead with ND May/Jun cases before every Mar/Apr case (with FP cleared) got approved or RFE\'d.
