I just heard the magic words now, but my wifes case has been transferred to local ins.

Please provide more info about your wife case
- Which Local Center.
- Is your wife working on H1-B. She had any other status??
- Any other problem --like incomplete medical, name change etc.

her file has been transferred to Newark NJ, she is on H4, we still had her h1 approved but never got the h1 stamped because before she joined, the company laid her off, my lawyer still reported h4 as her status...also she had to do her finger print twice

Congratulations rodeo - that must be a big relief!!
What implication does that fact have on your wife\'s case ? I mean being approved for H1, not getting it stamped, not joining the company and then continuing to use the H4 ? Please clarify your attorney\'s stance on this?

I have absolutely no damn idea, I am just guessing this out, I still have not received any notice from the local ins as to what is missing. Regarding the attorney\'s stance then she told me that since the last stamp on her passport is H4 we will still report her on H4, after which we both have travelled outside the country 3 times and everytime we have kept her H4 in status. I think the other issue may be her finger prints...but lets not jump to any conclusion.
