Finally my GC has been approved on Apr 8.

Details:
PD: 03/00, RD: 04/01, ND: 07/01, FP: 11/01 AD: 04/08/02, EB2, India

I think Aprils are coming back

I think I have seen 3-4 April approvals this week.

I think something was messed up at INS!

I dont know why it took so long, but I am glad that it was over.

I renewed my H1-B (I completed 6 years) around end of January. On Feb 15th my message changed to "Response to our RFE is received...." even though neither my lawyer nor I reeived any RFE.

On Apr 9, message changed to "Case aproved on Apr 8....".

180 days rule after receipt date? or the mailing date?

Friends,

I filed my I485 in Oct 2001 and received the receipt date in Dec. Should I count 180 days from Oct 2001 or from Dec 2001? Please advice

you should count 180 days from the receipt date which should be on the top left corner of your receipt notice. If you filed in october 01 then the receipt date is usually 2-3 days of that date.
