It\'s a pleasure to inform you that my Permanent
Residency Application (Green Card) has been approved.
It\'s been a long and tiring journey from Jan 99 - Jul
01 and lots of complications.

PD: Jan 1999
I-485 Filed: Jan 2000
FP: April 2001 (Moved from CA to MA)
I-485 Approved: July 2001
Category: EB3
No RFE, No Calls to INS, Changed work after a year as per AC 21.

This board has been very useful to me. Atleast to guage people who are getting approved and where you are in comparison to them.

Hang tight, I feel the approvals are coming faster now.

Stamping done in Boston

The approval notices came to my old addresses in CA, inspite of updating INS about change of Address. Went to Boston INS office around 10 am and was out of the office by 11 am. Had to just give the approval notice, EAD, AP, 2-photographs and I-94 cards and the passport was stamped. Make sure you right your A# behind the pictures. ASked them to make the change of address again - Hope they will.
