Just got it a few seconds ago!!!!!!

"Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.

On February 20, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before you get your new card call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register."

Thanks to all here for all the suport and great advices!!! I have the feeling that we will be seeing lots of approval this week!! Good luck to all here! Keep the faith and the hope cause it will come to you too!

congrats,

this ia great news. my only question to u is that u mentioned before that ur namecheck was pending. when was the last time u checked about that? did u do anything to clear it or it cleared by itself? any idea when ur namecheck got cleared?

Last time I called was thursday or friday of last week. I called the NSC and they just said name/background check was still pending. didn't do anything to clear it other then to send "positive thoughts" to FBI person taking care of it! :D

this is weird, till last week the namecheck was pending. so ur namecheck was cleared in 6 months. i feel that ur namecheck was cleared long time ago but USCIS are incompetent and they were sayin whatever and that ur namecheck is pending. this is my opinion.
 
your guess is as good as mine. And actually my name was cleared in almost 4 months, counting from the date they received my RFE reply, 10/26/06.Now, still wondering what the "ADIT processing" may be....

the namecjheck gets initiated in 1 week of the RD. so ur NC got initiated sometimes in august and not after ur RFE.
 
USCIS info request

After, inquiring about my case status and raising query, USCIS sent a response back indicating that my case is awaiting assignment officer. Does that mean that Security checks are over?

Most Likely

Most likely your back ground check is cleared. If you want to know for sure, take an Info pass appointment and find out.

Got new message last night:
Current Status: Card production ordered.

On February 20, 2007, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

Guess no waiting time for the card now!!:D :D
 
called NSC -- response

Hi all,

I called NSC...

Conversation Hello mam.. blah...

me: Mam can you please let me know if my Security checks have been cleared?
Lady: Sir we cannot give you any details about your security checks. You need to make an info pass appt to find out.
Me: Mam I actually raised a query and got a response back saying that it is awaiting assignment of an officer. Does this mean that everything is over and ready to get adjudicated.
Lady: Sir Please dont try to get more info from me about the security check. That status means that the case is with the officer. I cannot guarantee you any specific amount of time but, it is with the officer. That officer may cases from 50 - 500. So when you get your turn you will have yours.

cool! Hey, from your signature it looks like you got your card just a week after the welcome notice!! My question is, what date shows as you "start date" as PR? the same date of the welcome notice? Is that the date that will count towards applying for naturalization?

awaiting officer assignment means --

FYI:

I just talked to nice Person at NSC (Nebra...Se..center). I was told that awaiting officer assignment means Name Checks are done and completed.

and the approval notice came

It seems the notices are backwards?? I thought I would have first got this email, then the other ones saying they added me to the list of PR, follow by the email on card ordered. or does this meant that the actual card was mailed today???
