Hi all. We just received our son’s green card which we’d been waiting for since our case approvals in August. Below are our details. I was reading positing of this forum almost every day till now and wanted to thank everybody who has shared valuable information about their cases. We wish everybody good luck.

LUD Case Approved, approval notice mailed (child)– 08/21/06
LUD Welcome Notice mailed (self, wife)– 08/21/06
LUD Approval notice mailed (self, wife)– 08/22/06
Received the cards in mail (self, wife)- 08/24/06
Received biometrics appointment in mail (child)-10/16/06

The RFEs we got were:
-Current employment letter
-IAP-66 to show whether my J-1 status was under 2 year rule (it was not)
-Proof of residence in the home country after my wife’s J-1 status with 2-year rule (this was from 17 years ago when she was a high school exchange student)
-Birth and marriage certificates for wife
-Birth certificate for son, and parents’ (our) marriage certificate
-A copy of photo ID (driver’s license, state ID etc) for me, wife and my 10-year old son
Our lawyer was surprised that they even asked for a copy of photo ID for our son. His school does not issue student IDs with photos, so we got him a state ID. I wasn’t sure if they’d issue one for him since he didn’t have a social security number, but was glad to find out they could.
