All,
The I-485's (for my wife and myself) were approved at NSC on 02/25/2004, per the Online Status Tracking System. A long journey is over.
After having waited so long its hard for me to even get excited about it. My pulse didnt change one bit when I looked at the message. Anyway here is my journey.
LC - So called RIR filed in June 99. At this time RIR in Texas was taking 4 months (state + federal).
My company screwed up and this labor was approved in July 2001. 2+ years, after 2 RFEs
At the time when RIR was normally taking 4 months, TSC was approving I-140's in 6 weeks.
I finally got them to use a substitute labor in Jan 2001. By this time TSC was slower in I-140. The I-140 was approved after RFE in March 2002. 13 Months for I-140.
Filed for I-485 in NSC in April 2002. Forced to change Jobs and atty and filed AC21 in Mar 2003. The pace of NSC slowed from 11 months to 22 months (in My case). I finally got an RFE and second FP in January 2004. Approval 02/25/2004 for wife and self.
I wish you all the very best. Please try and rekindle the fire and passion (to get somewhere in life), that has been snuffed out by this ordeal. I will do the same.
Right now my situation is analogous to the following.
A puppy when on a leash tries to go some place and do things and struggles quite a bit to break the leash.
After a few years, the puppy is a grown dog and even if the same flimsy leash (that can be easily broken) is still used, the dog doesnt try to break out.
Once again good luck to you all !
Warm Regards,
Krishna Iyer
