Recieved email from USCIS on July 27th stating that approval notice was mailed on July 26th. Online case status also changed to show approval.

No RFE.

Congratulations!!! Lucky you, you switchd jobs well before 180 days and they haven't asked for employment history! You could have gotten denial.
 
No I don't think so.

They probably got surprised to see why I didn't have a green card after 14 years of constructive and legal history in this country and very good qualifications.

Denial is a far off thing
