I got an approval email few minutes back from USCIS. This site and people really helped me a lot in this long journey (3 ½ years).

Spouse status is still pending (did 2nd FP with me in Aug 2004). I hope to get that approval soon.

Here are my case details:

PD : 03/2001
RD(485) : 12/2001
1st FP : 04/2002
AC21(informed CSC): 01/2003
Layer called a few times to get 2nd FP
I sent level 1 and 2 fax enquires, a bunch of mails to ombudsman, contacted senator, talked to an offer using direct line
2nd FP : 08/2004 (Don't know which method helped me)
FP received : 08/27/2004
AD : 09/14/2004 (No RFE)

Thanks again everyone who helped me a lot during this long journey.

Special thanks to Rajiv for this great web site and thanks to Ciba, Pcc, jaxen, rsrgc, dsatish, Silly Man, Kashmir (A great person who helped a lot to immigration community), 140_takes_4ever and others.

I have couple of questions for the stamping:

1. Should I take an InfoPass from San Jose CIS center to stamp my passport (or Can I go there and stand in the line at around 5 a.m., which I did couple of times to get my interim EAD :D )?
2. I guess that I can use my copy of approval notice for stamping, any issues at SJC center? I am going to take 2 passport size photos from COSTCO, should be ok, right?
3. Important question is, What is the approximate wait time for Plastic, Is it ok if I change my address at the time of stamping (I want to give one of my friends address as I am planning to move to place soon)

Good luck to all waiters. You will get your approval soon.

No worries, pleasure was all mine. Nice to see Ciba and PCee remembered long after they are gone from the forum.

1. Yes you need to take an InfoPass appointment, no more standing in line.
2. Courtesy copy works fine. And Costco pictures are the way to go
3. It takes about 6-8 weeks at SJC. You can change the address you want to receive the card at. Make sure you mention it when the IIO takes the courtesy copy in hand.

Congratulations on your approval!!! It was high time you got it.

As for questions, I concur with Dr 140.
