RFE for my wife requesting ligible copy of birth certificate. RFE received by INS on Feb 28, 2003

Approved today Apr 6, 2003

Checked online 2 or 3 times this morning no approval. Came back from lunch and checked one more time - it says approved.

Big relief.
 
Hi,
What is meant by "ligible copy of birth certificate" ? Can you please explain about the issue ? I have submitted a certificate from a village panchayat office that my date of birth is not available. I am afraid that BCIS may ask the certificate from a higher level office.

the copy i had sent was a bad copy, the original was printed on pink paper. photocopies of pink colored paper always turn out pretty bad. Anyway, the INS asked me to send a ligible copy.

I recopied on a better copy machine and send back - thats it.
