I called up IIO today, she said my case was approved on friday Jul 27, 2001. I enquired about my wife\'s application but she said I can\'t get the information. I check the AVM, it still says the same old message. Is this normal?

I had called exactly a week back and the Officer had said that the case had not been assigned yet. I wonder if calling them made it work.

Hi Jaideep - Congratulations. Enjoy your freedom!

On another note, seems like cases can be approved in a very
short time after being assigned. If Jaideep\'s wasn\'t assigned until
last week and was approved by the end of the week - that is less
than 5 days!

As for the rest of us who have been with an "Officer" for months,
we will have to patiently wait for Bureaucracy to do it\'s thing!
