About Mail Forwarding

A past experience...

A friend of mine changed his address about 2 years ago and he reported the change to the local mail office only, and he got his INS paperwork forwarded with no problem. He reported the change to INS afterwards.

This has been discussed many times before.

The fact in general is that: USPS do not forward government documents. They should return them if the person of the name has moved.

However, in reality, some postmen don't follow the rule strictly and they may forward even they are not supposed to do so. But don't count on that.
