Hi everyone,

My spouse's case has been approved (both online status and 2 emails from USCIS). :) I was already approved long time ago.

485 RD: Dec 12, 2002. (We got married few months and added my spouse to my 485 before my 485 case was approved in Feb 2003.)
1st EAD RD: Dec 2002.
1st EAD AD: Feb 2003 (not sure.. can't remember what exactly date is.)
1st FP: March 2003.
No AP (We didn't apply for AP)
No 2nd FP notice.
No RFE.
No Transfer or Interview.
485 AD: June 17, 2004.

Since I was approved, I didn't want to travel without my spouse alone so I had to stay here and waited for my spouse's approval. (My case was kind of complicated case and very difficult case. It was a long story. I went thru the interview at the local INS office and I was approved in Feb 2003. My attorney advised my spouse not to travel since my spouse's case was also kind of complicated but not difficult case.). We thank God that my spouse's case was approved. We plan to travel to India soon. We haven't seen India for 5 years.

Yesterday the last updated date was June 9, 2004. Today (Saturday) the last updated date was changed to June 18, 2004 and the status message was changed too. The old message was about old fingerprint.. (fp was received. blah blah) and today's new message is "approved......(see below)"

Congratulations!! Enjoy your trip to India! :)

My case is similar to yours. I'm the primary and I filed my husband's 485 in December 2002 a few months after we got married. I just got the approval in May 2004 and hopefully my husband will receive his without RFE or interview just like your spouse's case!

By the way, were you married for more than 2 years when your spouse's case got approved in June? Is she getting a full 10-year PR or a conditional 2-year PR?

Thanks for sharing your experience!

Irenec

Congrats!.
Your RD is Dec'02 and got approved in Feb'03?
You said no interview- then you said interview?
You say your case was complicated but got approved so quickly???????
Thanks

Thank you.

Thank you, everyone.

Irenec, To answer your questions, my spouse is getting a full 10 years PR because of eb category, not family category (according to my attorney). We got married in November 2002.

Sb_tiger, To answer your question, my 485 RD was Sept 2001. My spouse's RD was Dec 2002. Let me post my details and my spouse's details again.

My case (primary applicant)'s details:
485 RD: Sept 2001
1st EAD RD: Sept 2001
1st EAD AD: Nov 2001
no AP (My attorney advised me not to travel because my case was very difficult and complicated. It was INS' mistake about my H1 cases. I can't explain right now. It was a long story.)
1st FP: (can't remember)
2nd EAD RD: (can't remember)
2nd EAD AD: (can't remember)
485 Transfer Date: Sept 2002
485 Interview Date: Nov 2002 (It was very easy and simple, but couldn't stamp until some issues were cleared like name check, etc. Officer said that I would get an approval notice in a week.)
485 Approval Date: Feb 2003 (waited for approval notice for few months. I contacted House of Representative).
Online message was still not changed (it said "your case has been transferred to <city> office. blah blah"). In Feb 2003, I received my attorney's call and house of representative's call that they got my 485 approval. I was relieved. That's it.

My spouse's details:
485 RD: Dec 2002 (yes, very fortunately. After my 485 interview, I got married in November 2002, then I filed my spouse's 485 immediately before my 485 was approved. I didn't realize about rules of permanent resident's spouse waiting years that my attorney told me about. My spouse and I were in a hurry to apply for my spouse's 485 before my 485 case was approved.)
1st EAD RD: Dec 2002.
1st EAD AD: Feb 2003 (not sure.. can't remember what exactly date was)
1st FP: March 2003.
No AP (We didn't apply for AP since my attorney advised my spouse not to travel.)
2nd EAD RD: (can't remember. I forgot to mention this)
2nd EAD AD: Dec 2003 or Jan 2004 (I forgot to mention this)
No 2nd FP notice.
No RFE.
No Transfer or Interview.
485 AD: June 17, 2004.

Hope this helps. Thank you everyone.
