Approved!!! RD 7/19/01 ND 8/31/01 AD 6/28/02
Just heard the magic words. Case approved on 6/28/02.
Filed in VSC, staying in california. Started GC processing in Oct\'1999. Almost 3 years. Working for the same company. I140 submitted in Feb\'00. Got the approval in Aug\'00 (just after date retro.). So, waited for 1 year before submitting I-485.
Waiting for the Notice now. Wish all of you Good Luck.
Talked 3 time to IIO as I did not get the FP notice till February. Finally
recvd the FP notice on 2/26/02 to appear for FP on 3/26/02. Tried for early
FP in SFO. Was turned down. Did the FP on scheduled date. Talke to IIO again on 5/26/02 to find out the status. Was told case not assigned. When asked whether I should extend my EAD (expiring in August\'2002). She suggested to file for extension. Because I-485 may take another 30/45 days before it gets assigned. As I was working on H1-B, I decided to wait for few more days before I file EAD ext. Talked to IIO again on 06/25/02. She mentioned it\'s pending. When asked again about EAD extn. she said I should get some decision by mid-July.
