Sure..no approval notice yet. Guess it depends on where you live,

I\'m in the Wash.DC metro area.

I am in Newark NJ Area

The reason for my question about the approval notice was that my EAD is due to expire in a few months, and wanted to ascertain if I need to renew my EAD.
 
You shouldn\'t need to...approval notices usually arrive in 1-2 weeks after

the approval, then you do the pp stamping, and you don\'t need the EAD anymore.

Thanks I thought so too, but my attorney was trying to tell me that it sometimes takes more than 3 months because of CIA checks and Finger Printing Problems.. I guess they are simply trying to make more money, by scaring me to apply for EAD.
 
Got approval notice today Feb/4...any ideas whether I need to take the original for stamping?
