too hard to believe

you filed 485 within 6 days of getting 140 approval? Your lawers must be great;/\'\'\][] Don;t know aht to say, my lawer took almost 10 days to make sure the docs are correct after I sent them over.
 
This is totally False !!!!

I am not ready to believe this. This is totally false. My I140 was filed in March too but I had to wait till August for the approval. I would like to request everyone of you to refrain yourself from FALSE postings !!!

I am trying to compare my dates with Amum\'s dates

it says

I filed my I-485 on July 15 2001 because I lost 1 week in delays
but my attorney says you have filed it reasonably quick considering mailing and medical and other documentation etc etc

Does location matter in I-140 approval ? If so my location is Los Angeles

One cannot presume or predict!

Hi,

We cannot presume based on the past experiences. We can only generalize but there will always be exceptions. Now we are seeing May approvals in general, but have also seen June approvals. That does not mean all the prior months are done.

One of my friends had to wait for 3.5 years to get I-140 cleared whereas one of Colleagues got his approval in 12 months from filing(both were EB2)!

Let us all congratulate AMum on his approval!
 
Actually, it\'s Professor Bongo now ...

My case in entirety took just over 12 months (12/26/00 I140 RD to
01/23/02 I485 AD). Though I did
not have to go for LC, I did however, spend 4 months
collecting letters of support, copying my scientific
papers, and finding citations to my papers etc.

I use to work in high tech in the valley,
and have heard of people getting approval in 6 months
(especially people filing for internation mangerial transfers,
LC-1). People get lucky and catch an INS wave (of processing)
or two.

A vast amount of individuals just don\'t bother to track
their approvals, so our experience is only a small sample
of all possible approvals. It would be interesting to
calculate the average time to get a green card for
those who participate in this forum and those that
do not. The poster alludes to people who don\'t worry and
are happy getting approved quicker, we could verify
this hypothesis from these averages !!!

Spoke to one very good IIO ::))

He said we got background check on 7th and ur whole file is now on the shelf and ready to go..he looks like a white guy..very professional.
he mentioned there are 15 officers who handles exclusively 485 files.
I did FP on 1/24..
anybody knows how many days/weeks will it takes to reach an officer??
