:) Finally... I appreciate you guys info. evn though there was nothing we can do to expedite our approvals. Since I'm from South Korea, I worried that maybe my case could be scrutinized considering North Korea's nuke problem. Here is my details and I also posted it on rupnet.

PD: Aug. 20, 2000 (RIR & EB3 case; my salary was less than 65K which disqualified me as EB2 applicants according to my lawyer.)
RD: Oct. 30, 2001
ND: Nov. 20, 2001
EAD: Dec. 20,2001 (2nd EAD Oct.10, 2002)
FP: Mar. 10, 2002 ( had my fingers printed earlier than scheduled date. It seems like that didn't help reduce approval time)
AD: Feb. 18, 2003

The fact that you are from South Korea might have helped expedite approval of your case.

Right now the Great States of America is in great demand of experts on Korean issues. That is national security, according to what I have heard. :D

I dunno if EB1 makes a diff or not,as

I am EB1,L1-A visa,and yet I got an RFE,and no approval in sight.

Re: why you didn't get rfe? eb1 or some other type?

My case was EB3. I guess the reason why I didn't get any RFE is '
First of all, I submitted all the certificates (birth & marriage) in Korean and English as well along with notary publication.
Second of all, I'm not sure why I didn't get a RFE regarding "employment verification" even though my case is more than 1 year old, for which I believe INS requests employment verification. Maybe I just lucked out! Or as somebody mentioned, FBI needs me to solve the North Korea's nuke problem. (Kidding...)

Good luck to you guys and don't forget to re-negociate your salary with your employer once your case is approved. I did it yesteray and now my salary has jumped more than 20K.

Congratulations!!

It is Tandoori Chicken but we will let that pass. Try some Indian Beers like Kingfisher or Golden Eagle with this. Enjoy the freedom and the extra 20K. That kind of money will buy a lot of beer.:D
