I got CRIS email today that I-485 is approved for me and my wife. It appears that NSC is processing based on RD. This forum was very informative and helpful. Wish everybody to get approval soon. THANKS.

Questions:
1. Per email, I may have to do ADIT processing. What is that? Did anybody do that?
2. How long does it take to get approval notice by mail and how long to get actual plastic card.

Here are the case details:
PD : Dec 2002 - EB3
I-140 AD: Dec 2003
I-485 RD: Aug-2003 (Semi-Concurrent filing)
EADs/APs: 5 times
RFEs : None
AC-21 : 3 times but never notified (see below)
I-485 AD: Jun-18-2007 (No LUDs before approval) :D

Employer X filed for GC. Using AC21-employment-portability, changed job 3 times after I am eligible. Now, I am with this current-employer "C" for over 2 years. Exact same job role. Per my high-profile lawyer advise, AC21 is law and notification is NOT required, even after repeated request.

Approval Message Email::D

Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR
TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.

On June 18, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this
customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions
on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within
60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT
processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later.

Congratulations to you rambaba !!!

Congratulations and wish you a happy GCA day (Green Card Approval Day). You are the 10th person today I have congratulated. I feel much :D happier than Father’s day celebration.

Now NSC seems to be in a right direction….:D

Thanks guys

Chicago_Sunny:
Based on your RD & recent approval trends, your approval should be either today, tomorrow or max by wednesday.

Congrats

Yes. What your attorney said is true. AC-21 is just a law and job portability is a small portion of that law. It is not any form that you can file. People read too much into it, get confused and in turn confuse everybody.
I too changed my job and never informed them. My attorney said the same as above and he said you can change N number of jobs provided your job is similar to the previous one and you salary is equal or higher. In case of any query regarding employee verification (which they check sometimes randomly), he said all I needed to do was get a letter from the current employer and send it to them (doesnt matter if it was my 10th employer by that stage).

Message changed to "Card Production Ordered" :) :

Receipt Number: LIN03XXXXXXXX

Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR

On June 18, 2007, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow
30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from
you we will contact you. {blah...blah...blah...}

I concur - True to the core.

Per my high profile lawyer advise, I never notified about employer change. I made several enquiries in the past couple of years but my lawyer always stressed that its law and there is nothing to worry about notifying it.

Many lawyers, including Rajiv-ji, share the same opinion.

Thanks for all your wishes.
