Hi friends,

I am very pleased to say that our GC saga is over. We received the courtesy copy of I485 approval notice on Aug 30th. It took exactly 2 yrs
for the whole process.

My husband was the primary applicant.I am the derivative.
Details:

EB2 RIR, India
PD : 29th July 1999
RD : 11th Aug 2000
ND : 8th Sept 2000
FP : 2nd Dec 2000
RFE issued : 1st Aug 2001. ( to prove my H1 status)
Lawyers letter recd: 8th Aug 2001
RFE replied : 13th Aug 2001.
485 approves : 24th Aug 2001
Courtesy copy recd : 30th Aug 2001.

EAD - never used first one.
Applied for renewal this July ( wasted $200)
Never applied for advance parole.

Also, NEVER called IIO.

First of all, I thank GOD to have come out successfully through this GC process.
 
We wish to thank all friends here on this site who were kind enough to help me with my questions and doubts.

Also, I do have to mention that the lawyer handling our case was very prompt in sending information on time and answering all our queries by
e-mail or phone. Thanks to him too.

RFE details

when my husband appplied for 485 I was on H1 in another state, now moved to where my husband is. So they wanted to verify if I am still on H1 or I have changed my status after the moving. Since I am on H1, I sent copies of my old and new H1 approval notices, copies of last paystub with my previous job, first pay stub form new job, letter from current employer, and recent pay stubs.
