ND March 11th 00, EB2 (other details in the sig below), no RFE.

I guess it is my turn to make the customary announcement. From F1 to 1 year of practical
training to 6 years of H1 to 1.5 years of EAD, It has been too long for me to get to this
point (1990 through 2001). I stretched everything to the max :=) I was quite relieved to
hear the update on the AVM yesterday!

To share some of the case details, mine is probably a test case which disproves the myth
that you and your spouse cannot have a concurrent I-485 pending. At least some of the
lawyers thought it was a bad idea. I was never convinced of it and went ahead and filed it
anyways while my wife\'s application was pending, with a clear note to INS advising them of
the previous filing. They assigned us the same A# the second time around. They used the
existing fingerprints on file to approve my petition. My wife\'s application filed in September
99 in EB3 category is not current, not processed (I think) and needs to be withdrawn. The
dates below correspond to the EB3 and EB2 applications of spouse and self respectively.

Thanks to all of you for being the virtual support group and to many of you for initiating
those interesting discussions. Especially to myladoor and ciba for taking the time to maintain
                        the trackers.

                        Wishing you all good luck...

P2kpk,

Could you please clarify.
Which ND is cleared.

Next question comes Is VSC is processing March 2000 cases.

Appreciate you reply.

Thanks BJSR. I hope you get yours soon.

The EAC # associated with my subsequent application (ND 03/00) was updated as approved. In this case it doesn\'t really make sense in looking at it purely as a March 00 notice date. Since I already have an application filed in September-99, the one I filed in March-00 may have been just appended to the existing file (they go by A# in identifying applicants and with EAC # to identify applications, if you know what I mean). To answer your question, they may not have begun processing March-00 quite yet... but then who knows.

congratulations pk2pk. I am also one of those who is stretching the limits of individual visa limits (came in 92 on F1) and applied in EB3 (time and again felt what is the use of the masters I did here, oh well!) and continues to wait for light at the end of a decade long existence in the U.S.

I am sure it must be a great feeling and enjoy every bit of the freedom, good luck.

Thanks derschofer and HopeThingsGetBetter.

I am sure things will really be better soon!

derschofer:
I don\'t know about you, but I probably missed the bus by not applying when the INS processing times are not as pathetic as they are now. But it is good to see most people who are starting out now are more aware of it and are jumping on to the process quite early. Also, I am sure with pressure from the employers/politicians and other interested parties, things may improve quite a bit with the INS in the next few years. My guess is we are bearing the brunt of slow processing times before they get better.
