Finally got approval email today for both me and my wife

Details
Priority Date - Jun 2001 EB3 India
I-485 RD - Aug 2003
RFE - Jan/3/05 (needed clearer copies of my Passport)
Last update date changes after RFE replied : - 1/13,1/14,1/17 and approval on 2/8/05


This forum has been really helpful to me in providing much needed solace during these anxious 2 years,

I got approved last week and my dates are exactly the same as yours.
how many emails did you receive?
i received only 2 (for me & spouse) everyone else seems to be receiving 4.

Some time it triggers only one email per case status change. So don't worry.. if you have one approval email that should be enough.. isn't it :)

yes you do but most peole say you can already get appointment. me, i'm waiting for the letter, as well.

You dont need the approval letter to schedule appointment. If you know you are approved and the notice has been mailed then just go ahead and schedule one.

In my case, 485 approved on 1/27, went to infopass for appointment and the availale date was Feb 14 ( got passport stamped today), got my notice on Feb 9.

So you see the appointment date can take long.. I did not want to waste time ...
