Out case has been approved on 02/12/2003 (Online and Phone only updated on 02/14/2003).
For people worried about birth Certificates
1. My Wife didn't had birth certificate. So, we submitted affidavite from her parents and certificate of non availability from City Council.
2. I had birth certificate , but without Fulll Name (only first name). My birth certificate also had other mistakes like Suffix with mother's name and wrong spelling of father's name. I provided 2 seperate affidavit from my mother and father (as my mother was in US and father was in India the time of filing).
So, my feeling is that as long as you submit affidavit for Birth Certificate, INS is happy.
