I know that this question had been posted before but wanted to clarify something with the following information:

Service Center: Texas
I140 Approved : 05/03/2005 (EB2)
I485 RD----- : 10/05/2005
EAD Approved : 11/01/2005
FP/Bio Code3 : 12/22/2005
I485 Approved : 01/03/2006 (approved received on email & online status)
GC Card ---- : -waiting

My Corp-to-Corp job ended on 12/23/2005. If I change employer/job immediately, my question are:

a) Which one is better? Should I use EAD or wait for my GC card for a new employer?
b) From I485 Receipt Date of 10/05/2005 until today which is not yet 180 days past. What would be the effect in my APPROVED I485 if my sponsoring GC employer revoke the I140?
c) And, Is there a risk for changing job right now?
d) If it is Okay to change employer/job, what requirements do they ussualy ask for the GC holders (with or without EAD)?

I will post my long 7.5 years experience after I got answer(s) from this one.

Just be patient and hope that your approval arrive with you soon.

And many thanks to the supporters of this forum with their good guidance/inputs.

If I were you I will wait a little bit more. You already got your approval.
Play safe, and wait (Besides you waited too much a little bit more does not hurt)

My second advice, talk to your lawyer and find out what are your options.

There is no difference wich document photocopy employer HR department will keep.

AFAIK, in theory, USCIS can revoke GC on the base of lack of intend to work for sponsor after getting GC (fraud from USCIS point of view), but I never heard of any real story.
