My H1B for the FY 2012 was approved on June 27th 2012 from company A. I was laid off in July 2012 and company A revoked the approved H1B on 31th August 2012 ( before Oct 1 2012). Then I got a job in September 2012 in Company B.
Since the H1B Cap for the FY2012 is over , can I recapture the quota number and apply for a transfer ? Or is there a way to recapture that quota number ?
Also my OPT is valid Feb 2013 .
