Finally its time to say that our cases (me and my wife) are approved. It was really a long long journey. The total process took 4 years and 2 months. Changed job last year (AC21 case).

This forum has been a great source of information and hope.

My LUD's are also in the same pattern (just a day later) 01/20, 21, 24 and 27. Hope to get the approval soon!!!!!!!!!

Would you please tell us about your RFE and the papers submitted?
 
Hi Ganse,

Have your Attorney tried to contact USCIS about your case status.My case status update for receipt of RFE response took two weeks but many are getting approvals within a week or two after sending the RFE response.My attorney told that one has to wait at least 30 days to contact CIS.Any ideas!

My RFE was about birth certificate. It was about Parenting and secondary evidance of birth. I had two affidavits at the time of I-485 filing, one from my father and the other one from a person outside family. I then submitted affidavits from both my mother and father.

Congrats modern_slavery, on ur I-485 approval!! Would u mind to tell us ur PD, COB and category(EB3/EB2?).

Our cases are also approved today after exactly 4 weeks from CIS receiving our response. Yesterday I asked my Attorney to contact CIS, but she refused to do so as she felt it is not time yet for me. Anyway, we are releived of a great pain. Congrats once again.
 
My approval date from the online system is February 14th 2005
My PD is October 2001

Not sure what COB stands for.

I am not sure if my effort in sending an enquiry letter has triggered them looking at my case but I would suggest that it is worth a try. My case was not touched since I submitted the application on August 26th 2003 (as my LUD was the same since that date.......It is taking between 570 days to 600 days to process ........)

I was tired of waiting and so I decided to send a request letter end of Dec 04 to INS trying to find out about my case by stating all the facts that I have provided earlier in my last post. On February 14th, 2005, I checked my status using the online case status check and most unexpectedly it says that my case was approved. No RFE, No LUD change since day 1.

Good luck to all. If you know that your name check is completed, it is worth sending an enquiry letter to ask them to take a look at your case.
