Did you do anything? like sending letters or fax like that?
What is online status says? when the status is changed?

Would you please share LUD (Last Update Date) before you got approved.
Also, in last 3 months, how many times LUD got updated.

I-140 LUD: remains unchanged on 02/19/03
I-485 LUD: remains unchanged on 02/24/03
FP done on 06/24/04 No update on status FBI says FP results returned to USCIS on same day. USCIS help(?)line says there is no standard practice of updating status on receipt of FP results. Sometimes they do. Sometimes they don't.

How do you check the FBI security check status. Is there any phne number or a website? Thanks.

Here is the FBI Contact Information:

1. Call any one number:
304 625 5590
304 625 2406

2. Select Option 3 or Option 2 i.e. Private Individual

3. Tell her/him that you need to check whether your FP report is send to INS or not ?

4. She will ask your Allien # and update with you with the status.
Allien # is located on the right hand corner of your I-140 or I-485 or FP notice.

This is what basically happened. Tired of the BS, I got my Senator's office involved a few weeks ago to look into the matter who is pretty prominent nationally. They were able to get my FP noticed out to me in a couple of weeks. I went to the local office for FP a little earlier, they refused and were pretty mean. I finally got it done on July 21.

One morning (8/3), an Immigration Officer called me to ask for certain documents at my home as he stated he couldn't get thru to my attorney. I was initially very freightened and thought this is going to be a very big mess. He was polite and sounded pretty positive. I was fortunate to have those documents with me and promised to fax them over in 20 minutes. He was later nice enough to let me know that he got'em. That midnight, my status updated for both I-140 & I-485 for the first time EVER! And I was approved! Sorry, this was not IT related.

Could you tell me all details about your case? I mean what catogory, who is senator? what documents they asked and all that stuff if you don't mind.

My cat. was EB-2 (RIR). Documents were related to education - certificates. All I can say to everyone is that contact your Senators/Congressmen offices. This is an election year and everyone wants to look good. Doesn't matter what party. Get as many petitions approved before November as you can and I expect it will slow down tremendously again!
 
Sample cover letter for Senator

Do you have any sample cover letter for the senetor asking for help....

I contacted my senators office and they asked me to write a cover letter and fax it over.....


Any help is appreciated....

No specifications really. I was told the same and just put down the facts like my RD/notices, address etc. They just need a formal request and your info. They could care less about other things.

Great news! We (me & wife) just received our card in mail. The writing at the back is really GREEN! I'm writing my PPS experience at Atlanta elsewhere.
