this case has been approved. here are my dates
RD 7/99
ND 9/99
FP 11/03
APPROVED 4/27

NO RFE

NO I didn't receive RFE (thank god).
I had submitted everything that was required (medical, tax return, employment and rent papers).
 
But you submitted all these papers with the original application which was submitted years ago. How come they accepted your medical when its more than many years old?

hey what can I tell you man,
as gilbert said, they ask for RFE from 90% of the people, I was just LUCKY to be one of the 10% that didn't get the RFE. besides, the only difference between RFE and none is actually 2 or 3 weeks time, becuase most of the people who got it , got approved 2 weeks after submitting it( go back to old posts).
I hope you get APPROVED without RFE.

I don't think there is a formula or routine that can tell us the time between FP and RFE because we all know INS/BCIS/USCIS works in mysterious ways....

But just so you know in my case...

FP : April 03
RFE mailed out .... July 03

for me it took 6 month from FP to Approval.
I think the delay depends on how fast the FBI submit back your name check result (FP is done pretty fast now). the FBI sent my name check result since February, and the INS approved my case in late April.
PS. from my personal experience, I realized that if you call the Customer service line and submit an inquiry to Nebraska, that might work to result in some action in the case. i called them every thirty days (minimum time allowed between calls)the past year, and it always work after 2-3 calls to prompt a move in the case? just my 2 cents idea,,,,,,
 
which customer service number are you talking about. Plz write the number.
In case this Nebraska service center number, that is almost always busy! How did you get through?

it's the number on the website 1-800-375-5283. you talk to a rep who dosen't know more than you, and all they do is to submit an inquiry about your case to Nebraska. you are allowed only 1 inquiry every 30 days. so this is what I did.

Congratulations my friend. I am very happy for you. my situation was so similar to yours. My ND was 10/98 and I was approved on april 14. I received FP norice on 10/02. i did not receive RFE. so these are almost the same dates but a year apart. i hope everyone get his or hers soon
