Hello all

We filed our GC in 1999 from company X. Later Company X was bought by Company Y in early 2000. Ealy 2001 my then current Company Y told us that they need to train us in new software and sent 10 peopleback to India for couple of months trainig. during the trainng peroid, they paid us half of our salaries.

Later they brought us back to US, and still couldn't find any Projects.By the time i came back from India, my I-140 has been approved, and i filed for my I-485 with Notice dates 10/15/02.Now My Comapany Y stopped paying us anymore salaries until they find us a new project.

We ( me and my wife) received our EAD cards in 3-4 weeks, and we started doing part time jobs. I started applying for new jobs after 180 day period to use AC-21 law. I finally found a very stable job in company Z but pays 1- percent less that what was stated in the Labour.

My GC came for RFE in April 2003. My previous company Y said that they no longer want me. So i got my Current Employement letter, and paystubs from the Current Company Z and responded to RFE. My lawyer intially d

I got an Interview call scheduled on July 30th 2003. these are my set of Questions....

1) Do you have your current Employement letter ?...> when i showed her my Compmay Z letter, she was suprised. She asked my that Since Company X filed for my GC, she was expecting letter from that company. We exlaind to her that we used AC-21 LAW. She acted as if she is not familier with that LAw. She went to the next room to speak with some one and came back
2) she asked all the usual questions, ..and then finally she asked us if we bought our Passports with us...

She then stamped on our passports and said, "congratulations you are now a Permenant Residents and you should receive your card in 6 weeks to 6 months. and you are eligible for Citizenship in 5 years.How about that ? "...

That is the SWEETEST THING I EVER HEARD IN A LONG LONG TIME....we were so tense in the last 2 years since 9/11.

Everyone has a Hope and so did we...and by the grace of the almighty, we got our FREEDOM.

It is scary that some BCIS people does not know AC21 even now. The act has been passed so long and so many people are using it and despite this they do not know it.......

Was the salary stated on Labor with Company X is same with company Z. What was the difference in % and did the BCIS officer asked about paystub or just the employment letter that you being employed presently and future employmnet.
 
Well, there is a $4000 difference in salary from Company X to company Z, with Company Z paying me Less.

INS officer didnot ask any Employement letter or Paystubs. She asked me if you have a supportin Doc I-854 or something like that , which i think is a support of Affidavict for your spouse.

I asked her what does that mean ?...and she said a letter from your current Employer will do. ...so i gave her the letter from my current employer which is Company Z.

Is it out of state?

As you used AC21, just was curious if the new work location

Well to be very frank , the Officer doesn't even know what AC21 Law is...!!! She asked me again what that AC21 is meant for .

Previously, i was working as a Consultant in the same state, and later joined COmpany Z in the same state.

But i dont think that really mattered. She was insisting on how i can leave Company Y and Join Z without Company Y's approval. When i said that Company Y has no problems, she asked for supporting Documents which i dont have.

but everything else was shown to her.
