Guys,
My case is finally approved. Got the "Card Production Ordered" email yesterday night, and today the status changed to "Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident."

My Second FP was originally scheduled for May 17, 2007, but I never got the notice. After numerous call(s) to TSC,and Infopass appointment(s), i was promised that they would send the FP notice again. But i never received
them. So i walked in to the ASC and requested them to take my FP again and it worked. I also raised a SR in June, for which i got a response on Aug 1st, stating that the application is under review, and i would receive a decision in the next 60 days. I also sent a letter to CIS ombudsman, and contacted local congressman for help. I am not sure if any of this triggered the approval. The response to the congressman's enquiry was that the case was under review and there are no visa numbers available at this time.

This forum has helped me a lot and i would like to thank everyone. I sincerely hope all of you who are waiting, will see your approvals soon.

Did you walk-in at ASC for FP? where?

I have similar situation and when I went to local ASC at Seattle, they said they don't have walk-in option. Weird. And, I got response from local office to come for finger print after two months (10/23) :(.

eNjoy your greencard.

I remember your case, you were planning to give your FPs in Boston, then in Manchester, right? Which ASC were you successful at? Anyway, congratulations! It's good to see another "lost FP" case getting approved.

i am in the boston area. Actually i had to try a couple of times before they let me do it. I went on a saturday afternoon, when the crowd was limited. The first time it did'nt work, but the second time it worked. If you have the notice, i would suggest you go and tell them that you have to go on a vacation during that time and would like to do the FP sooner. Most of the time this works.

All the best.

Congratulation.

Thanks you so much for your help. I was able to finally convince the boston ASC about the missed FP and was able to give my FP end of July. Thanks again for your input on my case. If not, i would have been just sitting and waiting for the second FP notice from TSC....

I think santosh_bh suggested I should try giving FPs without a notice, when I found out that my FP notice had been lost. So I'll take your thanks, add mine, and give both to him. :)

Have fun!
