Dear Sir or Madam:

Subject: Processing our I-485 case before FP expiry

I just wanted to bring it to your attention that our finger printing result in lieu of our I-485 petition is about to expire on 10/22/2004. My priority date for labor certification was December 1998. I have been waiting for my “green card” for over 6 and half years. This has brought a great anguish to me and to my family as we are always worried that we will be sent out of this country. I have been living in this country since <Month> <Year> and have been a law abiding person since then. I joined the <EMPLOYER NAME> in <YEAR> and have been in this company since then.
A speedy processing of our I-485 petitions before this date would be greatly appreciated.

The following are the details of our cases:

1. XXXXXX (Primary applicant)
Application Receipt number XXX
Alien number XXXX
2. XXXXX (Beneficiary Applicant)
Application Receipt number XXX

Alien number XXX

Please feel free to contact us if you need any further information.

Thank you and
sincerely,

Congrats and enjoy your freedom!!!

It normally takes about a week to receive the approval notice, so you can make the appointment now. If the notice does not come the day before your appointment, you can always cancel it.

i think to update my home address triggered my finger print. notified ins for changing home address by the end of Nov, 2003, and got FP notice at the early of Jan, 2004. Wish this time, update my home address again to trigger my approval. keep fingers acrossed. good luck to everyone.

I wish I knew what triggers FP

I moved and sent the address change letter/form. After about 4/5 months that the FP notice came. I personlly do not think there is any relationship to the move and the FP ( I know of 1 expection to this ). The lawyer said ( I do not belive it) -- the INS/CIS was moving to new system and the there was a glich on the new system , which is a plausable explantion.
BTW, I am from a special registration country -- which came in affect after my move and the FP.

Thanks for the input. I will move next week and send the notice to INS... Just kidding...

Legal At, Legal At last..

Hi All,
Thanks for messages and good wishes
BTW, Question:I would like to pick our interview on a Friday --how much control do you have in infopass in terms picking a day?

I would like share a small part of my journey with you. I left my country in my late teens in 1987 and have been trying to be a legal parmanent citizen for the countries I lived in since then. I have been in this country for 10 years and some months, and was always on the brink of being kicked out, because the company I chose to join and remain had many lay offs and some of the choices I have made after I joined the company (like why I did chose not go for CP, why did I not chose RIR although my manager aprroved, my friends said go for it (BTW, I wish I found this group then) and lawyer said he does not suggest it ).
Anyway, I am glad the application got approved -- (though as my spouse pointed out we have 2 more steps to go, stamping and the getting the GC).
I am looking forward not talking to our lawyers, not worried about visas , worried about going through the customs and immigration, etc. etc. I am also looking forward to being a citizen of this country. I think this country is still open to foreigners more than any other countries (e.g. UK ,France), and they have a chance to a make living. I know there lot problems we face, but I personally belive that this is much better other countries for foreigners still
