Thanks

I had spoken to IIO on 10/3/01 and not sure when it was assigned to an officer.

Have patience Jack. You will get it soon.

did the AVM change for you after FP

Can you tell what message used to play prior to the approved one and after fingerprinting?
Did the AVM change after fingerprinting for you.

For me it still sings that a FP notice was sent on blah blah date

My gc story

Fellowgc - AVM or online message before approval was the same as yours.

All out there- I was not able to give complete details when I posted my approval info as I was at work when I heard it.

My total processing took nearly 22 months with my priority date in Dec 15,2000.

Used AC21 to change job after RD+180 days. My lawyer informed INS of my job change with job description but did not mention any thing about salary. NO RFE's - surprising as I was very much confident that I will get RFE.

I had checked in the morning and at Lunch but the same old message of FP notice beig sent blah blah blah. Then I checked AVM when I heard the approval and also checked online and the same message.

All the best for all of you in awaiting GC and thanks again to Khanna & Greatyk for the tracker which were really helpful.

If any of you have questions type it here and I shall share the info I have.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL:D

Congratulations gcdog... Hey, can you tell me when exactly did the message change.. I assume from your note above that it is after lunch(may be around noon) and before the end of business. So, do you think the AVM and online status are getting updated as the day goes by. Sorry to be a pest. Appreciate your experience. Thanks

After NSC office hours

I am on the west coast and called up after NSC office hours.

One more info which might be of help is I moved to the west coast but still the processing was in NSC as I had filed my 485 there way before moving to west coast.

Hi Gcdog,
You mentioned that you worked on AC21, I read about it on the web but didn't have the exact idea. What you did to change the employer, is your new employer filed another H1 and informed INS on your new job, 485 etc OR are you working on EAD(which is applied along with 485 for the old employer) and notify the INS about the job description. I am also planning to do the same, but ... my RD is 11/15/01, not able to decide whether to wait for some more time for the GC and make a move OR jump now and inform INS, etc ..
Please let me know.

AC21

I used my EAD to change job. EAD is not employer specific. No need to file H1 through your new employer as long as it is RD+180days. My new company lawyer informed INS that since my 485 was not adjudicated for more than 180 days I was usiong AC21 to change employer.

This is not a legal advice but my experience. Hope this answers your question.

Received Courtesy copy and stamping completed

I received my courtesy copy yesterday evening (3rd working day after approval) and today went To Santa Ana, CA and got it stamped within 20 minutes.

(Fellow members in Orange County can go to Santa Ana even though your courtesy copy says to go to LA)

Above or not rules, regulations or legal advice but my experience.:D
