Hi Guys:
Finally it’s my turn to post good news:
My I-485 is approved just now (I check it 10 times in a day)
Details:
Case type: I-485, EB1 (outstanding professor and researcher)
WAC-02-169-5******
Notice Date: April 24, 2002
FP (first) December 2002 (after FP1, case status did not show it for several months, so sent a fax to BCIS (as known that time), they scheduled second FP)
FP2 (second), May 2003
I started from J1 (1996)-to-H1 (1999)-to-I-140(2000)-to-I-485(2002)
The hardest thing was to get the waiver of 2-year home residency requirement from Government of India, UP government and passport office, Lucknow (this is associated with J1 visa). Lucknow passport officer wanted a bottle of Viagra, and Home secretary in Lucknow wanted $1000 in US currency as bribes. If any one wants help in this regard, e-mail me saturn_143@yahoo.com.
I-485 is nothing with respect to that. My attorney left practice few months after filing I-485 (she got married and moved to different state) and I took over the case myself
I have been visitor of this forum from last two years, and posted few times.
Finally I would like to thank to Rajiv, and several volunteers who maintain this forum. It provides a hope and great information to all immigrants.
My wife’s I-485 (derivative beneficiary) is not yet approved (RD-April 24, 2002). Her FP are expired at the moment. I am also expecting RFE in her case as she did not go through medical at the time of filing I-485 (she was pregnant). She may have to undergo medical and FP again.
I wish all the best to you guys….
