I have been a silent reader of this forum for 2 years now before I registered recently. My wife and I too were going through this painful process similar to many of yours before we finally got our passport stamped yesterday.

RD/ND 9/25/2001 from NSC
FP1 2/27/2002
Transfer to local SEA office 12/2002
Interviewed Feb 2003

Didn't got stamped because FBI background check still pending. And it started the long and painful wait after interview. Lawyers made countless inquiries and got pretty helpful assistance from senator's office. It was not until Dec 2003 did I learned that INS has received background check.

FP2 Sep/2003
FP3 Dec/2003
AD Jan/2004

Through all time, our dealing with INS in Seattle has been plesant even though the process was way too slow (with 3 EADs and APs). I wish the best buck to you all and remember be patient and always keep the hope.
