Approved after extended review

My 485 (EB2, NIW ROW, stand alone) was finally approved on 8/20 after RFE was received back in NSC on 8/16. I really thank people in this forum sharing valuable information during my GC journey.

I would like to share breifly my experience for the last two months regarding my pending 485. In July, I called NSC multiple times and I was told one time that my file is wating to be assigned to an officer. At sometime, however, they told me my file is "under extended review" as now many people in this forum to figure out what that is. As many of you know, they didn't tell me whether visa number was assigned on my case. An IO told me I have a 50-50 chance to get a visa number.

I expected, however, that a visa number was assigned on my case.
First of all, my namecheck was cleared on 6/7 as confirmed at infopass and by a letter from FBI (I sent a letter to FL 5/22). So, my file was ready to be adjudicated. Secondly, I had multiple LUDs during the last week of June during which,as many people said, a large number of cases were assigned visa numbers. The only thing I worried was that my file was "under extended review" or "internal security check".

Fortunately, I had a RFE on 7/31 requesting paystubs, tax, H-1B approval notice for me an H4 approval notice for my wife (My H-1B was renewed during the processing time). So, after getting a RFE, I got confident that my file is at the final stage of adjudication. I also learned from the other forum that NSC responds to RFE within a week these days if all other things are cleared.

As expected, I finally received an approval notice on Monday and I now feel much relieved. I know many people in this forum is suffering from delayed and disorganized processing by USCIS. I hope everyone, especially who are worrying about Oct cut-off, to be approved soon. Again, thank you all for shaing their experience and tips. Good Luck ;) !

Congrats NIW-GC
I also had the same exp as yours. Got RFE in Mid june for H-1/H-4. Responded on July 19th and got approval one week later. The only problem is Spouse is still pending although we were getting the same LUDs until July 27 when I got Card production email but hers message remains the same. Did you get your wife's approval along with yours?

Yes. I got my wife's approval at the same time as mine.
Was your wife's name check cleared?

Dice12,

FL= First Lady contact (Laura Bush).
I wrote a letter to FL lady asking to expedite my namecheck.
You will be able to find a template in this forum.

The lady at infopass said everything is clear. Wonder if you can believe their intelligence. They would say just anything to get rid of you.

Congratulations!

Good to hear another Extended Review case approval.

I am also getting consistent reply from NSC IO (First in June last week) and Infopass (July last week) as Extended Review. But Infopass on July 3rd said every thing is clear.

SR response in July received as Additional Security Check. No LUD changes after the 3rd FP on July 3rd.

How many weeks/months you think would have taken to get it approved after Extended Review?

I am not sure why they are not touching my file?
