Approved after 2nd FP (Dec '01 RD)

Dear friends,

After a terrifying 19 month long emotional roller coaster ride, through corkscrew inversions of the recession and 300 feet near vertical drops of layoffs all around, our I-485 s finally got approved. Now we can proudly wear T-shirts boldly claiming "I survived the waiting game"!!!

Labor applied: Jul '01 (EB2)
I-140 applied: Sep '01
I-485 applied: Dec '01 (RD 28th Dec)
EAD received: Jan 10th, '02 (at local INS with 485 receipt)
1st FP: Feb 02

(Those were the days! At this point 485s were getting approved in 8 months & I set my expectations around Aug/Sep '02 accordingly. "Yeah, right!", said the INS, and the fun started)

Did you see the internet online status message talked about your 2nd FP after you had it done on 6/15/03?

BTW, Has your online msg got changed with approval status or it's still showing old msg? Was 2nd FP shown in the online status?

I am also waiting after 2nd FP.....Never Changed employer.

Dec2801. do you remember what is your scheduled FP date.
I was wondering if BCIS is using scheduled FP date to
approve your case finally. They may input your scheduled FP
date in computer and set a reminder on that date(or three days later) to check if the FP has been received, go on to adjudicate the case.

what do you think
 
DengDeng, Good Point. I also look forward to know that.
I did 2nd Fp on 6/14 while the scheduled date was 7/2.

well. then it's not true, your schedule date is 7.2, now is 7.29 it really sucks, waiting day and night. I still haven't received my second FP yet.
 
2nd FP

My 2nd FP scheduled date was 7/7, but I walked into the INS support center on 6/15 and got it done. My online status changed to "received FP results on 6/17" within a few days.

I donno whether they're waiting for scheduled FP date to give approvals, but interestingly my approval came as soon as my 2nd Adv Parole application reached them - maybe they picked up my 485 in order to accept this application on the basis of 485 pending - and found out that everything in my 485 file was hunky dory - so went ahead with the approval instead of shoving it back into the backlog. Who knows? (More importantly, who cares? :)

That is not true I guess..
Co-worker got his 2nd FP scheduled for 7/24.
He did early 2nd FP on 7/12
He got approved on 7/17
Received approval notice on 7/21
Stamped on 7/23

Well before 2nd FP SCheduled date :)
