wantmygcnow! this is another Bull-Crap from CIS to show the judge, when he would ask for it, that hey! look we have already approved 2001 cases and we are right on our committment to use all the numbers. The reality is that they might skip people inbetween. Another Dirty trick by sick CIS as they did not use enough visas in the previous years.

But anyway, people way behind in line are getting lucky. Good for them!
 
Lazer..Dont worry. I think you will get it before september...What I dont get it is they have to approve the 2000 cases this year..what are they waiting for?...
 
I will say this again here. I have been panicking like you guys and then my attorney convienced me that all of us will be approved before Oct 2006. I mean ALL of us. Even cases that are filed TODAY!!

i filed g325a every year, almost the same time as my tax return, per advise of my attorney.

Attorney's are like a piece of toilet paper..You use them and throw them..just the way they use their clients!..Dont believe anything any attorney says. One board member here had someone apply for asylum(after 15 years in this country) because an attorney Guaranteed a Green card.

Nothing is granted with USCIS. Everyone is panicking because honestly everyone wants to get done with these stupid games USCIS plays. I mean I dont mind waiting if its fair but how is it fair that somoene who applied in 2000 gets his GC after somoene who applied in 2001?...

Forget that. Whats annoying is that before USCIS was good in updating the case status so you could have a piece of mind knowing that ok i am in the loop but Lots of ppl with BIO like me..are scared that what if a BIO is lost and they "abadon" our application just because we never got bio..How would we know if a bIO was sent?...

Its just not fair and i am getting pissed!
 
Yeah! if you read CIS letters carefully, almost every letter gives you this crap that if you do not respond within so & so day, your application will be considered "abandoned". MOTH*&^* FU*&~*~ERS

Sorry about my anxiety. I hope its understable, like its for everybody. AFter waiting for 6 years, and many more for some other applicants, how easy it is for CIS to say that they are about to abandon the application because these cheapsters have sent you mail by the cheapest method possible and it can be lost.

Ask any American to wait for 6 years for Drivers License and then have him/her written a letter!

"Hey do you still want it? Reply or consider your application abandoned".

Its only us who take that shit.... because we have to! None of their native americans would take it.
 
Asking an immigration lawyer "can you get me asylum" is like asking a barber "do I need a haircut".

The answer will almost always be YES.

i think you guys are too critic of attorney.

while some of them are just money-seeker, others are pretty good. my asylum was granted by new jersey asylum office. when sitting in the office and hearing my attorney chatting with i/o about his kids and vacation, i knew i was going to be approved even if i did not say anything. that doesn't mean my case was not convincing, it is just the fact that the relationship makes it much easier. when he put me in the three-way conference call with a nsc "supervisor" (not a very high officer, admitted by my attorney) to check my case, i knew the couple of thousands of bucks i paid him was definitely worth it.

just my personal opinion.

I understand your frustration Lazer and Wantmygcnow. I also asked you guys where are you from ie which part of the World?

Seems like that they are approving south americans, europians first and then the rest of folks. Does this make sense?

If ONLY South Americans and Euros gettings approved then how would you explain the approval of some of our Chinese and Indian friends on this board? Just a thought.

It would be crazy if Immigration worked like that....Its just roulette..whoever gets a good batch of officers..whoever gets the SOB's..we are in trouble..
 
Congratulations!

The 2000 boys, take it easy! There are people with ND of 1999 that are still waiting for approval, I'm one of them. The CIS makes no damn sense! God knows how they function!
