Just a little summary.
Started my application on November 1996.
A year later called my lawyer and
he claims he never received my paper work.
Got kind of lazy and sat on my paper work for another couple of years.
Blah blah blah blah.
Applied for my I485 in July of 2001.
RD some time in Aug.
ND: Sept 27th.
FP Scheduled on December 12th 2001
Done on November 8th 2001.
AVM message changed on the 12th of Jan 2002 to processing resumed.
Waited Waited Waited....
On April 26 an RFE was generated.
It was for my birth certificate.
They said the one I presented was not valid. Even though that was the only one
I had. ("Am a defense kid. The cert was from the air force.")
They told me to get a non-availability cert.
Kind of funny that they have my birth cert in there hand and still wanted to get non-availability
cert. guess the govt works the same the world over.
Sent the cert in around the 10th of May.
AVM updated on the 9th of July saying they received it. Checked The AVM last night.
It says that I have been approved on the 7th of Aug.
Now I now how unreliable the AVM has been to a lot of folks in the past.
So I am just going to wait for the paper work to come before I start my celebrations.
