Approval rate on various days

Is it only me, or we had a spate of approvals around the Feb 14nth weekend and since then the speed just didn't keep up?
 
stain, the web status db got updated for Feb 14nth, and according to what an IIO told me (don't know how reliable), avm and web db both get updated almost simultaneously, however it misses out on either at same frequency.

More so, this comment above is based on reported approvals on rupnet and here.
 
stain, maybe I'm being paranoid. With INS I have every reason to be so.

Anyway, I had this russian omlette yesterday in a local festival .. damn it was good. ( So was the girl making it ;) ).
 
I think you had famous Russian blintz yesterdays, not an omelet. Actually, I had something similar in an Indian restaurant; honestly speaking this was the only thing I could eat since everything else was so damn spicy.

Dude you need to chill, you are becoming worse than an old woman, spreading rumours, scaring people with all this dire predictions and ideas.

Don't worry approvals will flow, it is not that we know that many people who have applied for AOS, that we should hear of approvals every day. It takes time.

These are probably the pent up cases that were sitting on the IIO's desks for ages, and now that the tables are empty they need to get some new cases, and go through them. It is going to take a while before you see a smooth flow of approvals. Give them a chance. Remember just a month ago, you were moaning about the absolute LACK of approvals and we have 26 + for this month of this board already! :)

So the next time you are going to post a fear, take a deep breath and then shut your computer. I have a feeling in my bones, you are going to be hearing the sweet chimes of approvals SOON! :)
 
BTW, chaps...

why is it that none of the CSC fellows getting approved post the news on rupnet? does the laid-back california funk sink in as soon as they hear/read the words?

an upright midwesterner just wondering on you big city folks ways...

CSC people DO post on Rup Net. We have been requesting people on the forum to go ahead and update Rup Net regularly, but you know how it goes. Once the pressure of the green card is lifted, it takes some time before people are willing to go back to INS related activity. :) But I think CSC people on this board are extremely conscientious and WILL try to help people out.

As far as dinner is concerned, planning on hosting dinner for the gang next weekend. Will call you and let you know the exact time/date.
 
140, I tried that Afghani place I had mentioned before. DAMN THATS GOOD. Their lamb was so tender, and the chicken was so perfect .. and the dessert .. was like 3 scoops of some crazy flavor icecream, floating on a bed of ice/rosewater thingie and frozen noodles bed, with some sort of tasty creamy topping on the top, and buncha cream spilt over, with little topping of crushed pistachios and stuff on top, for $2.99 (yea) ... ohhh and the smells .. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.............

damn, I need a tissue or sump'n, coz I'm makin' a mess here.

Anyway, u makin' that 3 day marinated chicken thingie again?? SHLURRPP :)~~~. I'm comin'. HEHE :).

And I hope ur right about my GC, how about this, if you are, lets get together some of us from here, and eat over there till our bellies burst? Deal?

Let us catch that place Afghani place again sometime soon. Hey I am going to India in a couple of weeks. So I hope either you get your approval, (that was a strategic mention of an on-topic opinion so that we don't have to rank this thread as SPAM), before that or after I come back in a couple of weeks so we can party in STYLE! Maybe we should start a thread on what we will do after we get our approvals. Let us first plan SillyMan's approval party, call a few people from the board, Vipsha, Ghost rider, TheWho, etc. and freak the shit out of everyone around! :)

Well now that you have confirmed for dinner next weekend, I will make some Chicken, but how about Biryani instead? With Palak Paneer, and channa masala on the side? :)

Dude I don't know about you, but I am looking forward to the dinner! :)

I am very pro- to the idea of giving faces to the people we know, and I am sure many would feel the same. Yea lets party once we get our approvals.

Well tonight, I am so desperate for good food, that I am actually gonna drive 150 miles to that other place we tried together (remember that pakistani restaurant?). Their crackling tingling Seekh Kabobs on Naans are like .. ULTRA PERFECT :) .. and I sorta like that guy's friendly attitude too.
 
LOL...sorry for butting in like this but I LIKE it, an immigration thread suddenly becoming a food thread!! Damn! I just had my dinner and I am hungry! Where is this place you guys keep talking about? Now, I am craving for them food. Keep it up....ROTFLOL....you guys make my day!

We will have to start to a new forum for people with PAWS (Post Approval Withdrawal Symptoms) - something like Alcoholics Anonymous...I can imagine having withdrawal symptoms with INS!! It will be like you suddenly got nothing to do - you dont know what to do with the 5 hours you got extra each day...One will have to start thinking of creative use for time !!! :))

Seriously, I know a person whom it took a few weeks to adjust to life without INS...I thought it was hilarious...Now I know better...

In case you do get a heart attack and something does happen, would you mind willing me your Green Card? No point in wasting something that you have invested so much time and effort on. :) It is just like those millionaires gifting their money to some poor unfortunate fellow walking on the road and telling him, since I couldn't enjoy my money, why don't you? :)
